1965 Supro Super-016The Valco made Supro amplifiers of the 1960s have achieved huge recognition lately in the gear world. Companies like JHS have built drive pedals around the tone and the brand has even been bought and resurrected into more modern versions of the old circuits. The Super amp was Supro's entry level platform that competed directly with Fender's Champ-Amp of the time. It features the same tube lineup (one 12AX7 preamp tube, one 6V6GT power tube, and one power tube) as well as an 8" Jensen speaker. These single ended little ass kickers have that quintessential cranked tube amp tone that every drive pedal wishes it could sound like. This vintage Supro Super amp is in excellent original condition with standard vintage patina. I personally spent 20 minutes or so with my 1965 Fender Jazzmaster plugged directly into this Supro and it was tonal bliss. All parts are original to the amp including finger-jointed solid Pine cabinet, RCA tubes, Jensen speaker, and two prong power cord. We're confident you'll be impressed with the thick crunchy drive at ear friendly levels from this one.
