The gentleman in the picture below reached out to me recently for help with how to sell a Fender Stratocaster guitar. Selling a valuable Fender guitar, especially one with family history, can be difficult for a family to do so my goal was to make their selling experience easy and risk free. He played this Fender in the 1960s but realized quickly that it was a valuable vintage guitar.

He reached out to me to establish a fair value for the Fender guitar and to sell it. We discussed the value of the guitar at length before agreeing to meet in person to inspect the guitar. The owner of the Fender was not a guitar professional so he was looking for an experienced collector's insight into the guitar for proper dating and originality. We met in person and so that I could inspect the guitar and share with him my thoughts and findings. I was pleased to find that the Fender was completely original throughout and showed them how to identify all the parts.

I've found that the best way to sell a Fender guitar is for both the buyer and seller to meet in person. I like to inspect the guitars in person so that both buyer and seller know exactly what we're establishing a value for. If you're looking to sell a valuable Fender guitar in person then I can make that happen for you if it's a guitar I'm looking for.

How much is my Fender guitar worth?

Establishing how much a Fender guitar is worth is an important part of the selling process. Finding out how much your guitar is worth starts with accurate Fender guitar identification. As a vintage Fender guitar expert, part of the value I can bring to a deal is experience buying Fender guitars for over a decade. I have real world experience with Fender guitar pricing based on accurate identification. It's important to me that you know exactly what you're selling before we work towards pricing the Fender guitar.

Accurate identification: The best place to start to sell a vintage Fender guitar is accurate dating. I'd like for you to know exactly what you have so I've written extensively on how to date a vintage Fender guitar. I'd be happy to help walk you through the process of how to date your guitar. Fair market value: As a top vintage guitar buyer, my offers to buy vintage Fender guitars are the best around. I've built up cash reserves over the last decade in order to be financially ready to buy top dollar vintage guitars and even entire collections. My experience tells me that sellers will shop around; I intend to make offers which will simply out bid the next available buyer.

The "Good Home" Promise: Many of the sellers who reach out to me want their guitar to go to someone who is passionate about it. They want to know that their guitar will be cherished, protected, but most importantly: played! Those who know me personally are familiar with the sacrifices I made over the past eleven years to devote my entire career to vintage guitars. I hope that my passion will be evident from our conversations together. I think that my feedback on Google will also help you feel comfortable that your guitar is going to a good home.
