I remember the subject of the last conversation I had with my grandmother before she passed: our mutual love of old things. She loved her red pie safe - I loved old guitars. I bought and sold vintage guitars so I could finally experience the guitars I've always dreamed of - and in the process noticed some things: private sellers struggled to acurately identify, fairly evaluate, and safely sell their expensive vintage guitar to a qualified buyer. Sometimes prices would be too low leaving precious inheritance value untapped. Some would price too high only to have qualified buyers overlook their instrument for years.
