1956 Fender Telecaster Blond

$44,995.00

We purchased this very fine early 1956 Fender Telecaster from its second owner. Doug's stepmom purchased the Tele and gave it to him to learn how to play the guitar on it in about 1967 when he was only 8 years old. He hadn't quite grown into it by then, so he mostly played on the 3/4 sized guitar the family also owned. Doug says that a majority of the wear on the guitar is from its first owner since he never really learned how to play.

Features: Early 1956 features include dome shaped knobs and round string tree. Check the pictures for the generous flame and figure in the Maple neck!

Measurements: 8.3 lbs (3.75 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.64" wide at the nut, 0.93" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 6.38k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 5.93k ohms.

Originality: All parts, finish, and solder are original to this guitar! The Potentiometers read 304541, 304 is the manufacturer code for Stackpole, 55 is the year, 41 is the week of the year. The neck heel date reads XA-2-56.

Playability: Excellent. The neck is straight, truss rod functions as intended, frets have little wear, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.
