This clean vintage 1965 Silvertone 1483 guitar amplifier made by Danelectro came through the shop a few years ago. It was in amazing condition! It has the separate head that nests inside the cabinet. Nathan Daniel's eye for design was nothing short of amazing. I'm always looking for clean vintage Silvertone guitar amplifiers. The 1960s brought about a lot of action in the new electric guitar and amplifier market. Sears contracted with the Danelectro company out of Neptune, NJ to build a line of amplifiers that would become the sound of the 1960s. The 1480 series was a budget line of amplifiers at the time it was introduced but is known today for its quality electronic components, hand wired point to point circuitry and creamy smooth drive. The 1483 takes advantage of its factory original RCA blackplate 6L6GC power tubes and original 15" Jensen brand speaker. There's no need for a drive pedal or boost to thicken up your tone with a Silvertone 1483.

This 1965 Sears Silvertone 1483 amplifier has survived the test of time and is available to you in all original, excellent working condition with no changed parts. The only work done to this amp is a light cleaning of the faceplate/chassis surface and light contact and electrical cleaning with proper deoxidizer and lubricator. As a result, the amplifier functions like new and brings you the sound of the 1960s with ease. The amp is ready to go on stage or in the studio. I would recommend a 3 prong power supply installation so ask me if you'd like that done prior to purchase. I just wanted to leave it as is until a buyer can decide how they would like it. The Silvertone line of amplifiers are some of the hottest vintage amps on the market today. You can look for Silvertone 1483 models on stage with Coldplay, Jack White, Beck, Vamplire Weekend, Maroon 5, and many others.

I enjoy my 1481,82,83,84,85. They are all great amplifiers.
My First amplifier at age 13 was the 1484 and I ordered it from the Sears and Roebuck Catalog at Christmas time. The guitar was the sunburst Bobcat.
