This vintage 1965 Fender Deluxe Amp with cover came through the shop last year. It was an excellent example of the non-Reverb Deluxe amp with black Tolex and face plate. I'm always a vintage Fender guitar amp buyer but I especially love the mid 1960s Deluxe amps. Please contact me here to sell a vintage Fender guitar amp.

Fender's tweed Deluxe in the 1950s was updated to the brownface version from '61-'63 and culminated in the blackface version from late '63 until 1966. Production of the Deluxe Reverb-Amp far outweighed the numbers for the non-Reverb version. The Deluxe-Amp has enough headroom when necessary and plenty of gain on tap when cranked.
This 1965 Fender Deluxe-Amp has just come from the grandson of the original owner. He found the amp under the cover while clearing out his grandparent's house. I purchased it in as found condition, cleaned it up, and took it to the tech for a fresh set of filter capacitors and a three prong power cord for safety. We were thrilled to hear it fire up again and sound strong with good output and gain. Even the original speaker sounded great and held up when pushed. Some of the back panel screws were corroded and broke upon removal but it's held on strongly with a few new screws. There's a little bit of pitting on the faceplate around the knobs but it's light and the plate cleaned up nicely.
