1970 Fender Stratocaster Faux Burst
Couldn't load pickup availability
This killer 1970 Fender Stratocaster in original "faux burst" is a perfect playing example on a fresh factory style refret! Every heard of Fender's faux burst?! It's a seldom discussed anomaly in Fender's past typically found on Stratocasters in 1969 and 1970. The bodies were finished in Olympic White, fake wood grain was painted on, then a typical Sunburst finish was sprayed over top. This example has been around the block and shows it, but plays like a brand new Strat. It's the perfect example of this finish in my opinion.
Measurements: 7.9lbs (3.60 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.61" wide at the nut, 0.86" deep at the first fret, and 0.96" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.60k ohms, the middle pickup reads 5.63k ohms, and the bridge pickup reads 5.46k ohms.
Originality: This Strat is original except for a perfect factory style refret, replaced bridge pickup/cover/mounting screws, and bridge saddles.
Playability: Amazing! The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, frets have very little wear, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.
Condition: A total sleeper in that it's a perfect modern player with all the vintage vibe of a well traveled and played Strat.
Included: The original case is included with this guitar.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition.
