1965 Gibson Trini Lopez Wide Neck
Couldn't load pickup availability
This early 1965 Gibson Trini Lopez Standard is one of the very few made with Gibson's original wide neck (1 11/16") before the necks were made skinny in mid to late 1965! The model was introduced at the end of 1964 (fewer than 5 shipped) and few hundred were shipped in 1965, but only very few original Kalamazoo made Trinis actually have the original wide neck. This example measures exactly 42.6mm wide at the nut and is a total dream to play. The notes pop out both through an amp and unplugged. It's a great example I purchased from its original owner out of Texas.
Measurements: 8.3 lbs / 3.75 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.67"/ 42.6mm wide at the nut, 0.86" deep at the 1st fret, and 0.98" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 8.00k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 7.50k ohms.
Originality: All parts, finish, and solder appear to be original to this guitar!
Playability: Very good! The frets have wear but have been dressed and very very nice. The electronics have been cleaned and function as intended.
Condition: Good! There's a long scratch on the front of the headstock parallel to the tuning machines that's been touched up. It has suffered no breaks or repairs.
Included: A newer hard shell case is included.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
