1963 Gibson ES-335 TDC Cherry Bigsby
Couldn't load pickup availability
This 1963 Gibson ES-335 TDC with factory Bigsby tailpiece and Custom Made plaque has been played and loved but never abused throughout its lifetime. It's a great playing example with original undisturbed PAF sticker humbucker in the neck and patent number in the bridge position (typical for this time period and factory original). It has two small areas of laquer touch up (buckle rash and case rash) but has never had a neck break or repair. It plays like a dream and has that classic 335 tone that these are known for!
Measurements: 8.4 lbs / 3.8 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.69"/ 42.9mm wide at the nut, 0.82" deep at the 1st fret, and 0.97" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 7.87k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 7.60k ohms.
Originality: Replaced metal saddles. Crude lacquer touch up over the buckle rash on the back of the body and case wear on the back of the neck (both areas about 2" in diameter).
Playability: Very good! The frets have wear but have been dressed and very very nice. The electronics have been cleaned and function as intended.
Condition: Good. There's an area of finish reaction from a vinyl strap on the bass side of the body between the pickups. There are typical nicks/dings/scratches and light checking throughout.
Included: The original Lifton case is included.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
