1959 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst
This killer early slab fretboard 1959 Fender Stratocaster has just come in from Yvan, its original owner out of Sherbrooke, Canada! It's a rare 10 hole single ply pickguard example with 1st week of 1959 potentiometer codes and a trem cavity date of 6/59. It's a spectacular playing on fresh factory style frets and is all original and untouched elsewhere except the output jack.
Measurements: 7.7 lbs / 3.45 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.68" / 42.6mm wide at the nut, 0.82" deep at the first fret, and .98" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.79k ohms, the middle reads 5.80k ohms, 5.83k ohms (these readings are exactly how proper working pre-CBS Stratocaster pickups should read).
Originality: All finish, parts, and solder are original to this guitar except the frets and an output jack!
Playability: Very good! The neck is straight, the truss rod functions as intended, and the electronics have been cleaned.
Included: Original hard shell tweed case, original fender quarter inch cable, original pack of Fender strings, and original Fender polish cloth.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from refunds in the case of a return.
