1963 Fender Jaguar Sunburst
This clean 1963 Fender Jaguar has just come in from the family of its original owner! It has all the great early Jaguar features including the flat pole pickups, clay dots, dark chocolate fretboard, and cream tolex case with black leather ends. It's completely original throughout except for new foam and neck shim. It's a spectacular playing example after a light cleaning and set up.
Make and Model: Fender Jaguar Sunburst
Year: 1963. Serial number "L11102", neck heel ink stamp "1AUG63B" (1 = Jaguar model, AUG = August, 63 = 1963, and B = standard neck width 1 5/8"), potentiometer code "137 632x" where 137 = CTS, 63 = 1963, 2x = twenty something week of the year but the last digit is covered by solder.
Measurements: 8 lbs / 3.65 kg total weight. The nut width measures 1.62" (1 5/8"). The neck profile measures 0.85" deep at the first fret and 0.99" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup resistance measures 6.31k ohms and the bridge pickup measures 6.94k ohms.
Originality: All parts and finish are original to this guitar except the currently installed 1 degree stew mac full pocket neck shim and new Fender branded foam under the pickups and on the mute. The original neck shim and foam are in the case.
Playability: Excellent! The neck is straight, the original frets have no wear, and the electronics operate as they did when new.
Included: original cream case, Fender polish cloth, and leather strap in excellent condition.
