1956 Fender Stratocaster '59 Factory Refinish with 1955 Super Amp
This incredible pair of 1950s Fender history has just come in from the widow of its original owner out of Montgomery, Alabama. This is a 1956 Fender Stratocaster that was sent back to Fender in 1959 and refinished in Sunburst. All parts and features are 1956 era including the pickups, plastics, all electronics, and my personal favorite: the soft V shaped neck profile. I'm including the 1955 Fender Super Amp in very nice condition with cover as well!
Measurements: 6.8 lbs / 3.15 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.63" (1 5/8")/41.4mm wide at the nut, 0.87" at the first fret, and 0.97" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup measures 5.67k ohms, the middle reads 5.65k, and the bridge pickup reads 5.53k ohms.
Originality: All parts are original to the guitar in 1956. The finish is a true 1959 Fender factory refinish. All solder is original except on the back of the volume pot where the harness was removed for the refinish. All plastics are polystyrene from 1956 and in spectacular condition. The amplifier has been recapped but retains its original tweed, transformers, and speakers.
Playability: Excellent! The frets have full height, the neck is straight, and all electronics function as intended.
Included: The original bridge cover, trem arm, instruction manual, case, amp, and amp cover are included with this sale.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
