Here's a killer custom ordered 1968 Gibson Firebird I for left handed players! While production numbers for this rare Gibson are unknown, we very almost never see these surface. The gentleman in this picture still owns the guitar.
It's interesting that Gibson didn't make a left hand oriented truss rod cover. The body of the guitar is definitely opposite oriented including the pickguard and placement of the control knobs.
The original owner ordered this guitar through his guitar teacher at the time. It took about 8 months from order to delivery. He still has the original order form and receipt of purchase. This is a truly collectable vintage Gibson guitar!
