This vintage 1961 Fender Jazzmaster was apparently refinished at the factory in Olympic White sometime in the late 1960s or very early 1970s. The Schaller tuners were definitely added sometime later. The Jazzmaster was introduced in 1958 as Fender's top of the line electric guitar with all the innovation including proprietary single coil pickups, smooth tremolo design, offset waist body, Rosewood fretboard and rhythm channel switching. I'm always looking to buy vintage Fender guitars including the Jazzmaster. Do you have one for sale? Contact me here to send pictures and information on your guitar. I'd love to check it out. 1961 Fender Jazzmaster-002   1961 Fender Jazzmaster-040
