Vintage 1959 Danelectro Companion electric guitar

This rare vintage Danelectro Companion came through the shop a few years ago. I'm always a vintage Danelectro guitar and amplifier buyer. You can contact me here to sell a vintage Danelectro guitar

The Companion was built on the short horn body style platform and featured two single coil pickups, faux natural wood finish and a floating bridge setup.  I especially loved the look of the stacked knobs for volume and tone from each pickup. This was a totally collectible package that was original and came with the original hard case. Danelectro was started by Nathan Daniel in Neptune, NJ. Daniel was an innovator in both aesthetic design and construction techniques. Many Danelectro guitar bodies including this one were constructed from a Poplar center block with Masonite top and and back. This decreased the overall weight of the guitar significantly and allowed it to resonate like no other guitar before.

I'm always looking to buy vintage Danelectro guitars! Give me a call if you have one for sale. I'd love to check it out.
