AG-207-March-2010_cover(No longer available) This one off custom made Bourgeois parlor is a delight to the eyes and ears. This guitar was on the cover of the March 2009 issue of Acoustic Guitar Magazine. From the Bourgeois Guitars listing, "In 2009, Dana Bourgeois designed and produced our 5000th guitar, “Victoria”. Based on a mid-19th century parlor guitar but with modern design elements such as a 25″ scale, this special guitar was the spark that led to our now popular Piccolo Parlor model. “Victoria” came first, and to this day it is still a one-of-a-kind in many ways. Dana used specially reserved Brazilian for the back and sides, and as fine an example of an Adirondack Top as you are ever likely to find, both tonally and visually. Dana used a legal fossil mammoth ivory bridge as both a visual tribute to those early parlor guitars and for it’s tonal advantages. He also built the amazing figured mahogany coffin case to match, a beautiful work of art in it’s own right! But the most striking characteristic of this instrument is it’s larger than life sound, which you can hear on this YouTube clip from Acoustic Guitar."
