The RE-201 Space Echo was the first of the line to introduce Echo and Reverb in one unit. These units are solid, quality echo machines made to the highest standards by Roland in Japan. This RE-201 Space Echo was made for the US market (117V) and is in excellent collectible and playable condition. It's just returned from a service with Pete Grosso (@echoplexrepair on Instagram). Pete did an excellent job cleaning and dialing this one in to optimum performance. The repeats are strong, warm and consistent with just enough classic tape feel. The motor is equally strong and shows no signs of slowing or age. This will be a strong unit for years to come.
This vintage Roland RE-201 is in great functioning condition and ready to go back in the studio. The 70s and 80s were a golden age of manufacturing for Japan while the US was struggling with new competition. The build quality of these old machines is evidence for their skill.
