Gibson's line of Epiphone branded acoustic guitars gained a new model in 1963: the FT-90 El Dorado. The FT-90 was essentially a long scale Hummingbird with an attractive long pickguard, natural finish (also available on the Hummingbird in '63), and trapezoid fretboard inlays. The solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Mahogany body make for a fine strumming and fingerstyle acoustic guitar.
This 1968 Epiphone El Dorado is in excellent playing condition and full of inspirational vibe. All parts appear to be original to the guitar and are in good functioning condition. We've just completed a bridge reglue and a few braces reglued with hide glue. The frets show some wear but have plenty of life left in them. There's a long crack on the top and a crack on the back that have both been glued and are solid. We're confident you'll love the tone and playability of this Kalamazoo Gibson made 1968 Epiphone FT-90 El Dorado!
