In late 1915, CF Martin introduced their range of ukuleles. They stamped the first few hundred with serial numbers but stopped some time during 1916. By 1917 they added position marks to the fingerboard. This early Martin ukulele was made sometime between those dates, most likely in 1916.
A fine example of an early Martin in completely original condition with no cracks and no repairs. The rare original hard case is included, along with a treasure trove of papers and song lyrics from the previous owner. Family heirloom from South Florida. Key West letterhead.
