Fender Telecaster Smuggler Rout 1967/1968
Couldn't load pickup availability
We're thrilled to offer this clean late 1967/early 1968 Fender Telecaster with the rare Smuggler rout! It's in very nice condition and is a blast to play. We've installed a clear pickguard to show off the rout, but the original is included and will go right back in place if you prefer.
Measurements: 7.7 lbs / 3.49 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.64" / 41.6 mm wide at the nut, 0.87" deep at the first fret, and 0.94" deep at the 12th fret.
Originality: It's 100% original inside and out! There's no overspray, refinish, changed parts, or disturbed solder.
Playability: Excellent! This Tele has been freshly set up and plays like a dream.
Condition: Very good with light forearm wear and some finish checking on the clear lacquer on the neck. It's a nice example of a gently loved 55 year old guitar.
Included: The original hard shell case, bridge cover, hang tag with matching serial number, and pickguard are included.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.

Fender Stratocasters: Better with a Hardtail?
There is something different about a Fender Stratocaster that's been lovingly played and cherished for half a century. My favorite Stratocaster we've been fortunate enough to have in the shop this year, and frankly one of my favorite guitars of all time was a 1960 Fender Stratocaster in sunburst. Sounds boring right? Well, this Strat has a trick up its sleeve. It left the factory with a "Hardtail" configuration.
