Fender Stratocaster 1958

Fender Stratocaster 1958

$1.00

I'm thrilled to offer this 1958 Fender Stratocaster to the market for the first time since it was ordered new in June of 1958. It's original except for rewound neck and bridge pickups by Tom Brantley. Tom was able to save the middle pickup coil by reconnection the coil to the lead. No solder was disturbed except for the grommets on the bobbins of the pickups. It's now in spectacular playing condition on original frets. It's a joy to play and weighs in at only 7 lbs 4 oz.

International shipping is available. High resolutions images are also available by request.

Make and Model: Fender Stratocaster

Year: 1958. Serial number 02xxx, neck heel pencil date 6/58, middle pickup cavity date 5/58.

Measurements: 7 lbs 4 oz overall weight, neck profile at the first fret = 0.85", profile at the 12th = 0.98".

Originality: All parts and finish are original to the guitar. The coil wire on the neck and bridge pickups were rewound by Tom Brantley Pickups. The middle pickup original coil was repaired by reconnecting the finish end of the coil to the bobbin. All solder is original except the six bobbin grommet solder joints connecting to the leads.

Condition: Excellent! The original finish shows light checking throughout, typical small bumps and nicks, some light edge wear on the treble horn of the body. The original gold Fender logo is in exceptionally clean condition.

Playability: Excellent!! The original frets still have their full height with no amount of wear that would affect its playability. The neck is perfectly straight, the truss rod operates as intended, the potentiometers and switch operate as intended, and it's a blast to play.

Included: The original tweed hardshell case, receipt, instruction manual, strap, and bridge cover are included in the sale.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period on all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from refunds in the case of a return.
