1974 Gibson SG Custom White
This clean 1974 Gibson SG Custom in original White finish is one of 183 made in Kalamazoo, MI that year according to surviving Gibson shipment totals. It has just come in from its long time owner who purchased it from Gruhn in 1989.
Make and Model: SG Custom White
Year: 1974. Serial number 490xxx, Mahogany neck with volute present, potentiometer codes reading "137 7437" indicating the 37th week of 1974.
Condition: Excellent! with no breaks, repairs, or modifications. The original White finish is thick and shows deep checking throughout. All solder is untouched.
Measurements: Nut width = 1 9/16", neck depth at the first fret = .86", 12th fret depth = .98", total weight = 7lbs 4oz
Repairs and Mods: None.
Playability: Excellent! The original Fretless Wonder style frets standard on the Custom level guitars are in excellent condition and full height. The neck is straight and the truss rod adjusts as intended. It features three original tar back humbucker pickups.
