1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom
“LES PAUL CUSTOM – High Impedance: It took the combined efforts of the finest Gibson craftsman and the ingenious Les Paul to create this fabulous, contemporary sounding guitar. The LP Custom is popular with rock groups because of its amazing sustain capabilities. In addition, twin gold-plated humbucking pickups contribute to the clarity of tone and brilliance of the treble and bass frequencies.” — 1970 Gibson Catalog
Make and Model: Gibson Les Paul Custom
Year: 1974,”MADE IN USA” stamp on headstock with six digit serial, potentiometer code 1377420 (20th week of 1974)

Originality: All parts appear to be original except the strings. Original patent number pickups. The original nut was reseated in its slot. No breaks or repairs.
Condition: Very nice condition with light nicks and scratches throughout. The gold hardware shows tarnish and light wear. No breaks or repairs.
Playability: Excellent. I’ve just completed a full set up and inspection. This one plays nicely with a working truss rod (.003″ relief), perfect frets with no wear and strong pickups.
Notes: Just in! This clean, never Grovered Les Paul Custom. It’s so rare to find these in original and clean condition. It seems like almost every one of them had the headstock poorly drilled for big tuners, refretted for jumbo frets, and swapped pickups. This one made it through the 1970s unscathed. It’s in super nice condition with full fret height with almost no wear. I’m confident you’ll love this 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom!
