1966 Fender Jaguar Sunburst
Couldn't load pickup availability
It's our great pleasure to present this 1966 Fender Jaguar in original factory sunburst! This one is typical of early CBS offsets, featuring block inlays, full binding on the neck, and F logos on the neck plate and tuning machines.
Measurements: 8.9 lbs (4.05 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.66" wide at the nut, 0.85" deep at the first fret, and 0.92" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 6.83k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 7.03k ohms.
Originality: All finish, parts, and solder are original to this guitar except for replacement foam under the pickups and a full neck pocket shim. The Potentiometers read 1376636, 137 is the manufacturer code for CTS, 66 is the year, 36 is the week of the year. The neck heel date reads "15MAR66B" (15 = Jaguar model, "66" = 1966, and B = Standard neck width 1 5/8"). It's missing the original mute system and the bridge cover.
Playability: Excellent. The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, frets have very little wear, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.
Condition: Very good with typical nicks, dings, and scratches. There is a crack in the pick guard by the volume and tone controls.
Included: The original case and tremolo arm are included.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
