1966 Fender Jaguar Lake Placid Blue Slab Board

$1.00

A slab fretboard in 1966? Yes! It shows up sparingly on 24" scale neck Fender guitars like Jaguars, Mustangs, and Duo Sonics from the late 1965 time period. This 1966 Fender Jaguar in original Lake Placid Blue Metallic finish is a fantastic example of the model and has survived in excellent condition and is 100% original but with new foam and shim installed (originals included). Want to hear it? Check out my friend Riggs playing it in the video below!

Measurements: 8.2 lbs/3.7 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.65" wide at the nut, 0.88" deep at the first fret, and 0.94" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 6.1k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 5.5k ohms (both within typical range for Jaguar pickups).

Originality: All finish, parts, and solder are original to this guitar. The foam under the pickups and on the mute and the shim have been replaced but the original foam and shim are in the case.

Playability: Excellent. The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, frets have very little wear, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.

Condition: Very good with typical finish checking and nicks, dings, and scratches.

Included: The original case is included but two latches are broken.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
