1966 Fender Jaguar Blue Ice Metallic
This vintage 1966 Fender Jaguar has survived in amazing original condition with its factory original custom color Blue Ice Metallic finish with matching headstock! It has just come in from who we believe was the second owner.
Make and Model: Fender Jaguar
Year: 1966. Serial 142xxx, neck heel date stamp "15APR66B" (15 = Jaguar model, APR = April, 66 = 1966, B = standard neck width 1 5/8"). Potentiometer code "304 6612" (304 = Stackpole, 66 = 1966, 12 = 12th week). Check out How To Date A Vintage Fender Jaguar Guitar.
Measurements: 8 lbs 6 oz total weight, .85" neck depth at the first fret, .93" depth at the 12th fret.
Originality: All parts appear to be original except for the strap buttons, a few bridge saddles, and intonation screws. I've replaced the degraded foam but kept the originals. The case is an original 1965 offset Fender case but not the one that came with the guitar originally.
Condition: Very good with no breaks or repairs! There are some bumps and bruises on the finish. A few of them have been touched up with paint (see photos).
Playability: Excellent! This is a fine playing example with good frets, straight neck, proper working truss rod, and pro set up with .011-.49" strings.
