1965 Fender Princeton Reverb FEIC
The blackface era Fender Princeton Reverb-Amp is an iconic amplifier that has become one of the most desirable recording amps today. This versatile platform is just as comfortable at home, in the studio or at a gig. It’s powered by a pair of 12ax7 preamp tubes driving two 6v6 power tubes making about 12 watts of power. It’s tube rectified and uses a 12at7 and 7025 to drive the spring reverb and tremolo section. The 10″ speaker is housed in a fingerjointed solid Pine cabinet for tone and ease of portability. Unlike the reissue, the original Princeton Reverb is all hand wired using an eyelet board to keep everything tidy. The resulting amplifier boasts big cleans, smooth overdriven tones, classic Fender reverb and some of the finest tremolo around.
This early 1965 Fender Princeton Reverb-Amp bears the serial number A00452 with a tube chart stamp date of December 1964. It also bears the “Fender Electric Instrument Co.” brand utilized before the CBS buyout in January 1965. It has survived in nice condition with original parts except for a replaced vintage reverb tank and one resistor. Both are sourced from another vintage Fender Princeton Reverb. The amp performs nicely on what appear to be the original matched RCA 6v6 power tubes. We’re confident you’ll love this pre-CBS Fender Princeton Reverb-Amp!

My favorite Stratocaster we've been fortunate enough to have in the shop this year, and frankly one of my favorite guitars of all time was a 1960 Fender Stratocaster in sunburst. Sounds boring right? Well, this Strat has a trick up its sleeve. It left the factory with a "Hardtail" configuration.
