1965 Fender Jaguar Candy Apple Red Metallic
I purchased this awesome 1965 Fender Jaguar in original Candy Apple Red Metallic finish from the sister of its original owner. This was her brother's Christmas present in December 1965, and he cherished it until he passed. She inherited the guitar and held onto it for a while, but decided that it was time to get it back in the hands of a player. I was pleased to find it completely original throughout, and after some standard cleaning and set up, plays like a dream.
Measurements: 8.3lbs (3.75 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.63" wide at the nut, 0.82" deep at the first fret, and 0.99" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 7.08k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 6.28k ohms.
Dates: The neck heel stamp reads "1APR65B" (1 = Jaguar model, APR = April, 65 = 1965, and B = standard neck width). The potentiometer codes read "304 6508" (304 = Stackpole, 65 = 1965, and 08 = 8th week of the year).
Originality: All finish, parts, and solder are original to this guitar except the neck shim and the foam under the pickups!
Playability: Excellent! The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.
Condition: Good with typical nicks, dings, and scratches throughout.
Included: The original case is included with this guitar.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
