1960 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail

$0.00

It's taken me a long time to find a non-tremolo ("hardtail") pre-CBS Stratocaster, but I've finally picked up the right one. This 1960 Fender Stratocaster has just come in from the family of its original owner out of the Dodge City, Kansas area and it met every expectation I had for it. It's 100% original, clean, light weight, and plays like a dream.

Measurements: 6.9 lbs / 3.15 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.63" / 41.3mm wide at the nut, 0.80" deep at the first fret, and 0.97" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.56k ohms, the middle reads 5.82k ohms, and the bridge pickup reads 5.64k ohms. The neck heel date reads "6/60" and the body cavity date reads "3/60". The potentiometer codes indicate the 46th week of 1959.

Originality: This Stratocaster is 100% original inside and out!

Playability: Excellent. The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, frets have very little wear, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.

Condition: Excellent! There's a spot of finish rash on the back of the body on the bass side upper horn. Apart from that, it's clean with typical nicks, dings, and scratches.

Included: The original case is included.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
