Fender Jaguar 1965 Black with Gold Hardware
I'm thrilled to offer this very special Fender Jaguar 1965 in factory original custom color Black with gold hardware! It's in spectacular all original condition with original receipt, strap with gold buckle, bridge cover, and Fender brand polish cloth. This is the second factory Black with gold hardware to come through my shop this year.
Make and model: Fender Jaguar
Year: early 1965 with all pre-CBS features. Neck heel ink stamp "1MAR65B" (1 = Jaguar model, MAR = March, 65 = 1965, and B = standard nut width). Serial number "L6xxxx", potentiometer code 304 6508 (304 = Stackpole, 65 = 1965, 08 = 8th week). Check out How to date a Fender Jaguar.
Measurements: Total weight = 9 lbs even. Neck depth at the first fret = 0.80", depth at the 12th fret = 0.98".
Originality: All parts and finish are original to the guitar. I installed a 1 degree neck shim from Stew Mac and kept both original shims. I also replaced the old degraded foam with fresh Fender brand foam but kept the original foam.
Playability: Excellent! The neck is straight and frets still have their full height. All electronics work as intended.
Condition: Excellent cosmetic condition with light checking throughout. All of the gold hardware shows the typical amount tarnish for a guitar this age.
