1968 Fender Telecaster
This vintage 1968 Fender Telecaster has just come from its original owner. It has survived in very nice condition and still has its original hang tag, bridge cover, and hard shell case! It's a fabulous sounding example that plays like a dream.
Make and Model: Fender Telecaster
Year: 1968. Serial 245xxx, neck stamp "3 JUL 68B" (3 = Telecaster model, JUL = July, 68 = 1968, B = standard nut width 1 5/8"). Potentiometer code "304 6617" (304 = Stackpole, 66 = 1966, 17 = 17th week). Check out How to date vintage Fender guitars.
Specifications: 9 lbs even total weight. Neck depth at the first fret = .86", depth at 12th = .96".
Originality: All parts are original to the guitar except the frets and nut! The original owner had it refretted with jumbo frets in 2014. All solder appears undisturbed. The finish is original throughout.
Playability: Excellent!! This is a fantastic playing example with straight neck, proper working electronics, and an unparalleled vibe.
