1963 Fender Jazzmaster Blond
This vintage 1963 Fender Jazzmaster with translucent Blond finish and Ash body has just come from the family of its original owner who unfortunately passed last year. It's now in excellent playing condition and ready to make music again.
Make and Model: Fender Jazzmaster Blond finish over Ash body
Year: 1963. Serial "L0xxxx", bridge pickup cavity date "4/63", neck stamp "4FEB63B" (4 = Jazzmaster model, FEB = February, 63 = 1963, B = standard 1 5/8" nut width). Tone potentiometer code "304 6309" (304 = Stackpole, 63 = 1963, 09 = 9th week). Check out How to date a vintage Fender Jazzmaster guitar.
Measurements: 7lbs 11oz total weight, neck depth at the first fret = .80", depth at the 12th fret = 1.00"
Originality: All parts original to the guitar except the switch tip, fresh pickup foam, and full pocket neck shim. The original nut has been shimmed.
Condition: Very good! There is one large area of moisture damage on the treble side horn and one on the top of the headstock. The case appears to have moisture damage in hinge area but is structurally stable.
Playability: Excellent! It's in spectacular playing condition with straight neck, perfect working electronics, and a killer set up. The original frets show wear but are still in good playing condition. Players who prefer modern sized frets will likely want to refret this guitar.
