1959 Fender Deluxe Amp
This vintage 1959 Fender Deluxe Amp with original tweed covering has just recently arrived from the daughter of its original owner! It's in nice condition with both original transformers and speaker.
Make and Model: Fender Deluxe Amp 5E3
Year: 1959. Tube chart ink stamp "ID" (I = 1959, D = April), speaker date code "220904" (220 = Jensen, 9 = 1959, 04 = 4th week, potentiometer codes "137 911" (137 = CTS, 9 = 1959, 11 = 11th week). Check out How to date a vintage Fender guitar amp.
Originality: All parts original to the amp except leather handle, three prong power cord, on/off switch, rectifier tube, and filter capacitors. It is missing one tube cover.
Service: My amp technician and I have just completed a full inspection. He replaced the three filter capacitors and replaced the on/off switch. The switch was causing some intermittent buzzing.
Playability: Killer! This is a fantastic playing and sounding example. We jumpered the channels to get the perfect mix of bright and dark. The original speaker sounds great as well.
