1966 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

Regular price $19,995.00

Check out this near mint 1966 Fender Stratocaster in original Sunburst finish with hang tag that's just come in from its original owner! It's a spectacular example that's all original except for a factory style refret. The original owner had the frets filed flat rather poorly, but the fresh refret with factory size, shape, and crown has it back to original feel and playability with no fretboard plane required. It's a killer player and ready for anything. (as long as you don't mind the three position switch).

Measurements: 8.6lbs (3.9 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.64" wide at the nut, 0.90" deep at the first fret, and 0.94" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.37k ohms, the middle pickup reads 5.44k ohms, and the bridge pickup reads 5.92k ohms.

Dates: The neck heel stamp reads "13JAN66B" (13 = Stratocaster model, JAN = January, 66 = 1966, and B = standard neck width 1 5/8". The potentiometer codes read "137 6549" (137 = CTS, 65 = 1965, and 49 = 49th week of the year).

Originality: All finish, parts, and solder are original to this guitar except the frets!

Playability: Excellent! The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.

Condition: Excellent! There's one 1" scratch to the wood on the treble side of the back of the body (pictured). Apart from that, it's crazy clean.

Included: The original case, hang tag, tremolo arm, and bridge cover are included with this guitar.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
