Yesterday was a fantastic day to be a Fender guitar buyer! I received a call from a gentleman in Georgia who was looking to sell vintage Fender guitars and amplifiers. As a passionate Fender guitar buyer, I jumped at the chance to take a look. We met in the parking lot in Oxford, Alabama to check out the guitars.
I'm always a vintage Fender guitar buyer but I'm especially looking for 1950s and 1960s Fender Stratocasters, Telecasters, Jazzmasters, and Jaguars. You can contact me here to sell a vintage Fender guitar.
The first guitar was a killer 1963 Fender Jazzmaster in original Sunburst finish. It appears to be completely original except for the knobs appear to be from a Coronado II guitar. It features a spaghetti style Fender logo, clay dot fretboard markers, and a serial number that begins with "L09xxx". These features indicate that the guitar was made in 1963. Check out How to date a vintage Fender Jazzmaster for help with Fender guitar dating.
The next guitar was a 1965 Fender Jaguar in original Olympic White finish! This guitar appears to be completely original except for a replacement nut. It's a nicely made nut so I won't be replacing it again. It features pearl dot fretboard markers with no binding, single line Kluson tuners, and a serial number that begins with "L52xxx". These features indicate that this guitar was made in early 1965. You can check out How to date a vintage Fender Jaguar for more help with dating your Fender Jaguar.
