Marvelously versatile, it offers six pre-set tonalities with the Gibson Vari-Tone control and exciting Stereophonic tone separation. It can be played through a stereo amplifier, two channel amplifier, or two separate amplifiers. Special stereo wiring and "Y" cable provide tone separation." -- 1966 Gibson guitar and amplifier catalog
Make and Model: Gibson ES-345TDC
Year: 1967. "898xxx" serial, gold reflector knobs, gold double line Kluson tuners
Specifications: 24 3/4" scale length, 8lbs 10oz, 1 9/16" nut width, .85" neck depth at the first fret, 1.03" depth at the 12th fret.
Originality: All parts appear to be original except the capped nut on the end of the pickguard bracket. I sourced a vintage correct replacement since it was missing when it came in.
Condition: Excellent with no breaks or repairs! This one is very clean with checking throughout the finish. The Cherry stain shows no fading. The gold hardware shows only a little tarnish on the pickups.
Playability: Excellent! This one exhibits no visible fret. The truss rod works exactly as intended and the bridge doesn't show any signs of collapsing. It plays like a dream!
Notes: This cherry finished dream boat of a vintage Gibson ES guitar. I don't have much history on this one except that it was pawned by someone who inherited it. They never returned to repay so I was able to purchase it. I was blown away at the perfect frets and neck with no signs of wear at all. The deep Cherry stain is completely unfaded and the finish exhibits attractive checking. I'd love to keep this one back in the private collection but am so heavily stocked with Gibson ES guitars at the moment that I can't justify it. I'm confident you'll love this clean example of a golden era Gibson ES-345TDC
