This clean vintage 1966 Fender Champ guitar amplifier with its original cardboard shipping box came through the shop last year. It was a spectacularly clean example and amazingly still had its shipping container. I'm always a buyer for clean vintage Fender guitar amplifiers but I especially love when they're still in their original box with paperwork. "Compare Fender...... you'll agree they are the finest in the world! The Champ Amp is sturdily constructed in the attractive front control cabinet. The circuit provides extremely please reproduction with a fine quality permanent magnet speaker. The Champ Amp has two instrument inputs, volume, treble, and bass controls, jeweled pilot light and extractor type fuse post and is covered in attractive black Tolex." -- Fender catalog 1965-1966.
This 1966 Fender Champ Amp was stored in its original shipping box and has just come out of retirement in near mint condition. We lightly dusted the exterior and cleaned the electrical components with contact cleaner. It performed beautifully during our 20 minute test. The only real evidence of its age is some light corrosion on the metal parts on top. Other than that, it's just like it came from the factory. We think you'll be pleased (edit: sold!).
