Fender Telecaster 1958
This 1958 Fender Telecaster has just come in from the family of its second owner - but its sole owner since about 1960! His son told us the story about how his dad bought the guitar lightly used that year. It didn't have a case, so they bought a brand new one from Fender who was right down the road from where they lived in Fullerton, California. I was thrilled to find the guitar to be 100% original and in great playing condition.
Measurements: 6.9 lbs / 3.15 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.64" / 42mm wide at the nut, 0.80" deep at the first fret, and 0.96" deep at the 12th fret. The bridge pickup reads 7.27k ohms and the neck pickup read 7.78k ohms.
Originality: 100% original with no finish work, replaced parts, or solder work. The case was purchased for it a few years after it was sold new.
Playability: Very good! The neck is straight, truss rod functions as intended, and the electronics function as intended. The frets show little wear.
Included: The original bridge cover and brown Tolex case are included.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
