1972 Gibson ES-335
This clean 1972 Gibson ES-335 in original Cherry Sunburst finish has just come in from the family of the original owner! It has survived in amazing condition and is ready to play.
Make and Model: Gibson ES-335 TD
Year: 1970-1972. Serial 776xxx. Square block Gibson logo, patent sticker pickups, Mahogany neck with volute, Made in USA stamp. Potentiometer codes obscured by solder.
Measurements: Nut width = 1 9/16", neck depth at first fret = .80", depth at the 12th = 1", weight = 7lbs 11oz.
Originality: All parts original except the strings! I observed no modifications or repairs.
Condition: Excellent! This one is very clean with light fading in the cherry sunburst on the top. I observed very little checking. The guitar has been stored inside its case for the last 20+ years so there's a subtle musty smell. I expect it to subside if the guitar is played regularly. The original case handle is replaced with a leather handle.
Playability: Excellent! It's ready for the stage, studio, or collection. The neck is straight and the truss rod works as intended. I was pleasantly surprised at the harmonic complexity from the original patent sticker humbucking pickups. I'm confident you'll love this killer ES-335!
