1969 Fender Telecaster Blond with Bigsby
This clean 1969 Fender Telecaster Blond with factory installed Bigsby vibrato tailpiece has just come from the family of its original owner! It's really clean and in fabulous playing condition. It even still had its silk wrapped flat wound strings when I got it.
Make and Model: Fender Telecaster Blond over Ash body, Maple fretboard, and factory Bigbsy tailpiece.
Year: 1969. Serial number "262xxx". Neck heel date stamp "3 JUL 69 B" where 3 = Telecaster model, "JUL" = July, "69" = 1969, and "B" = standard nut width (1 5/8"). Check out how to date Fender guitars.
Measurements: Neck depth at the first fret = .90", depth at the 12th fret = .96. Total weight = 9lbs 7oz.
Originality: This guitar exactly as it came from the factory except for a vintage correct bridge pickup rewind from Tom Brantley Rewinds.
Playability: Excellent! The neck is straight, frets are full original height, and the truss rod works perfectly. The pots, switch, and output jack have been cleaned and are in excellent working condition.
Condition: Amazingly clean. The pickguard is slightly shrunken and warped. There's staining on the back of the body from laying on the coily cable and some finish damage next to it from laying on the vinyl tag.
Notes: I was thrilled to find this guitar in spectacularly well preserved condition with 1960s era flat wound strings on it. It even still had its original bridge cover, Ace strap, two case keys, and Fender case name tag (all included with this sale!). I'm confident you'll love it!
