1963 Fender Precision Bass Sunburst
This vintage 1963 Fender Precision Bass in original Sunburst finish has survived in amazing original condition and has just arrived from its sole owner since the 1970s. She lightly played it but never gigged it. All parts are original to the guitar except the strap buttons and the foam under the pickups.
Make and Model: Fender Precision Bass, Sunburst finish
Year: 1963. Serial 94xxx, neck stamp "5AUG63C", pickup cavity pencil date "9/63", potentiometer codes "137 6340" indicating the 40th week of 1963.
Originality: All parts original except both strap buttons, replaced pickup height foam, and strings.
Condition: Amazing. No finish work, no checking, no breaks, no repairs, no solder touch up. Nothing.
Playability: Amazing. The neck is straight, truss rod works, and there is no fret wear.
Notes: This is the cleanest 1960s Fender Precision Bass I've ever seen. Even the original white case with black leather ends is in good condition with all working latches. I'm confident you'll love this clean '63 Pbass!
