1961 Gibson ES-335 Bigsby

Regular price $19,995.00

This killer 1961 Gibson ES-335 dot neck in Cherry Red with original Bigsby tailpiece had been played and loved its entire life! It's a great player with no neck breaks or repairs ever. It has some replaced parts and overspray, but all the important stuff is there including original PAF pickups (replaced covers), original ABR-1 bridge, and original Cherry Red finish. I was blow away with how loud and resonant it sounds even unplugged. It's a great example of what makes ES-335 special.

Measurements: 7.8 lbs / 3.6 kg total weight. The neck measures 1.67"/ 42.6mm wide at the nut, 0.80" deep at the 1st fret, and 0.90" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 7.2k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 7.3k ohms.

Originality: Replaced binding on the fretboard, replaced covers (original PAFs underneath), replaced switch, repro thumbwheels and posts, a few dot markers repleaced.

Playability: Very good! The frets have wear but have been dressed and very very nice. The electronics have been cleaned and function as intended.

Condition: Beat but sweet with no neck break or repairs. The finish has some overspray on the back of the body and on the side of the neck to blend in the replaced binding.

Included: A late 1960s hard shell case is included.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
