1965 Fender Jaguar Lake Placid Blue Metallic

Regular price $13,995.00

This clean 1965 Fender Jaguar in factory original Lake Placid Blue Metallic finish has just arrived from its original owner. After languishing unplayed since the 1970s, I simply cleaned it, replaced the hardened foam, and set it up with new strings. It's a joy to play and comes with all the case candy that's been with it since it was new. The neck is straight, the frets are unworn, and the electronics operate exactly as intended.

Measurements: 8.4lbs (3.80 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.65" (1 5/8") wide at the nut, 0.84" deep at the first fret, and 1.02" deep at the 12th fret (medium taper profile).

Dates: The neck heel stamp reads "1MAY65B" where 1 = Jaguar model, MAY = May, 65 = 1965, and B = standard neck width 1 5/8". The potentiometer codes read "137 6519" where 137 = CTS (manufacturer code), 65 = 1965, and 19 = 19th week.

Originality: All parts, finish, and solder are original to this guitar except the foam and neck shim. The original foam and shims will go with the guitar.

Playability: Excellent. The neck is straight, frets have no wear, and the electronics operate as intended.

Condition: Very Good! The edge of the body has foam residue from a Parker Body Guard.

Included: The original hang tag, polish cloth, leather strap, polish bottle, Fender brand picks, bridge cover, and hard shell case are included with the guitar.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
