1963 Fender Stratocaster Hardtail

This one owner 1963 Fender Stratocaster non-tremolo in original Sunburst has survived in very clean condition and is now available for the first time since the early 1960s! It still has its original hang tag, case key, leather strap, and most of a 1963/1964 catalog. It weighs in at only 6.8 lbs (3.1 kg) and is a joy to play. The original frets have no wear! It plays like a dream. 

Measurements: 6.8lbs (3.1 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.66" wide at the nut, 0.82" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 5.68k ohms, the middle pickup reads 5.98k, and the bridge pickup reads 6.06k ohms. 

Dates: The neck heel stamp reads "2FEB63B" where 2 = Stratocaster model, FEB = February, 63 = 1963, and B = standard neck width (1 5/8"). The middle pickup cavity reads "5/53" underneath the finish. The potentiometer codes read "304 6315" (304 = Stackpole, 63 = 1963, and 15 = 15th week of the year). 

Originality: 100% original finish, parts, and solder.

Playability: Excellent! The neck is straight with proper working truss rod, the original frets are not worn, and the electronics operate as intended. 

Condition: Very good. The original finish exhibits light checking. 

Included: The original hang tag, case key, bridge cover, most of a 1963 Fender catalog, and the original hard shell case are included.
