1960 Fender Telecaster Olympic White
Couldn't load pickup availability
This 1960 Fender Telecaster in original Olympic White finish is a great example of the rare pre-color chart custom color Fender finish! We purchased this Tele from the family of its original owner. As soon as I saw the three layer nitrate pickguard and bright white finish, I was enamored with it. Check out the neck pocket and bridge pickup pictures at the end of the listing showing the custom order code "O White Tele T610".
Features: This version of Olympic White has an interesting clear coat layer between two layers of OW color coat. The front of the Alder body has a desert sand undercoat, one layer of OW, a clear coat layer (which has now ambered a bit), then another layer of OW on top. The back of the body lacks the clear coat in between. Inquire for more details.
Measurements: 7.5 lbs (3.4 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.67" wide at the nut, 0.79" deep at the first fret, and 0.96" deep at the 12th fret. The neck pickup reads 6.79k ohms and the bridge pickup reads 6.31k ohms.
Originality: All finish, solder, and parts are original to this guitar except for the first 6 frets which were transplanted from a 1959 Stratocaster. The work is nearly undetectable and it plays great!
Playability: Excellent! The neck is dead straight, truss rod functions as intended, the frets have been dressed, and the electronics are clean and operate as intended.
Condition: Very good. The white finish has wear in the forearm area and on the edges of the body.
Included: The original case and strap are included.
Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
