1958 Fender Stratocaster Sunburst

Regular price $29,995.00

This 1958 Fender Stratocaster in factory original Sunburst finish is original where it counts and plays like a brand new guitar on a fresh frets. The refret is meticulous and preserved all the original fretboard wear and patina. It's totally original apart from two replaced potentiometers and a plugged mini toggle switch hole on the pickguard. To me, it's got the perfect balance of vintage preservation, modern playability, and attractive vintage wear.

Measurements: 7.8lbs (3.55 kg) total weight. The neck measures 1.66" (1 5/8") wide at the nut, 0.85" deep at the first fret, and 1.00" deep at the 12th fret (medium fat taper profile). The neck pickup reads 5.37k ohms, middle reads 5.79k ohms, and the bridge pickup reads 6.11k ohms.

Dates: The neck heel stamp reads "9 - 58" and the middle pickup cavity of the body reads "7 - 58". The tone potentiometer code reads "304 825" where 304 = Stackpole (manufacturer code), 8 = 1958, and 25 = 25th week.

Originality: Fresh refret, replaced volume and middle tone potentiometers, and small pickguard hole plugged from a previous mini toggle. All finish and other parts appear to be original.

Playability: Excellent! The neck is straight, frets have no wear, and the electronics operate as intended.

Condition: Killer cool vibe worn condition. There are four unexplained screw holes in the back of the body between the tremolo plate and the neck plate.

Included: A modern hardshell case is included. There is no tremolo arm included.

Fine Print: All guitars ship via FedEx Priority Overnight for domestic sales or FedEx Priority International. I offer a 48 hour approval period beginning on delivery for all sales during which you are welcome to opt for a return as long as the guitar is still in as-sent condition. I do not charge a restocking fee, but any non-refunded payment processing fees, outbound shipping, and return shipping costs are subtracted from the refund in the case of a return.
