Check out this awesome vintage 1964 Gibson ES-330 in original Cherry Red finish in rare left handed version with diamonds on the upper bouts! I was thrilled to buy this guitar from its second owner recently. Original left handed Gibson guitars from the 1960s are so very hard to find but I'm always on the lookout for them. This one had everything I look for in a vintage Gibson lefty guitar: clean, nice condition, rare features, and completely original throughout.

Do you have a vintage Gibson left hand guitar that you're considering selling? I'd love to take look: Sell a Gibson.

Perhaps the most interesting part of this lefty 1964 Gibson ES-330 are the two black diamonds painted on the upper bouts of the body underneath the finish. They may look like plastic covers, but it's actually black paint underneath the finish. It's possible that Gibson painted on the diamonds to cover up and imperfection in the production process. Since the ES-330 bodies are slightly arched in that area, it's more likely that they may have sanded through the layers of laminate on the body. Since this finish is clear, the layers would have showed up pretty significantly. The black paint likely covered the imperfection while giving it a really cool look too.
We've dated this guitar to 1964 based on both the serial number and the features (Gibson serial numbers).
