I purchased this 1958 Gibson Les Paul TV Model, or TV Junior as some may call it, from the widow of its original owner (or at least that's what I was told!). Apart from a tragic headstock repair, the guitar is all original in and in very nice condition. This 1958 Gibson Les Paul TV Model is the earliest double cutaway body style Les Paul that I've personally encountered. Its serial number is 8_5820 which I would estimate is from May to July 1958, although I don't have the shipment ledger entry for this guitar.
The most interesting feature I've found on this 1958 Gibson Les Paul TV Model is the extra deep control cavity route and double stacked back plate. The ledge appears to be about double the normal depth found on these but I wasn't able to determine why. I'd love to hear your theory on it!
