This 1948 Gibson J-50 is by far one of the best sounding acoustic guitars in the shop. The late 1940s was one of the best manufacturing time periods for Gibson because all the skilled craftsman were back from the war, quality raw materials were available and manufacturing techniques were still done the old way. The late 1940s Gibsons feature banner era characteristics with proper updates such as a full feeling neck but not too big, small rectangular bridge and solid rims.
