This vintage 1967 Gibson ES-335 TDC electric guitar in original Cherry Red finish came through the shop a few years ago. I'm always a vintage Gibson guitar buyer but I especially love ES-335 guitars from the 1960s. Please contact me here to sell a vintage Gibson guitar.
I purchased this clean 1967 Gibson ES-335tdc from the wife of the original owner. She said her husband purchased it new to play country and western style music. The guitar came to me original and unmodified and still had the flat wound strings on it. It shows light playing wear and very minimal checking. The neck is straight and the deep cherry stain is unfaded. The original patent number humbucker pickups are strong, hot and clear. This guitar is ready to be played professionally in the studio or on stage.
This uncirculated Gibson ES-335 is clean and ready to be put back to work. The quality American made electronics all function like new. This guitar would be comfortable on the road, in the studio or in your collection. Call the number at the top of the screen to speak with me directly about this 1967 Gibson ES-335.
The Gibson ES-335 debuted in 1958 with a revolutionary new design: a double cutaway, thin solid body with hollow wings electric guitar. The thin body of this guitar was constructed of a laminated Maple arched top and back but had a solid center Maple block running down the center of the body. The resulting guitar had a warm tonal response but limited the problem of feedback at high stage volumes that many artists had at the time. The new ES-335 was fitted with Gibson's Humbucker pickups and became a huge success. This versatile model was popularized across almost all styles of music.
